Cameras with auto-tracking of objects have been released

Modern video surveillance devices are becoming more and more "intelligent". First of all, this applies to high-resolution cameras designed for facilities with high security requirements. In cases where there is a significant flow of people or a human operator does not have the ability to simultaneously track readings from all cameras, the auto-tracking feature will be an advantage. It has already been equipped with a number of 12-megapixel video cameras. She captures the movement in her area of responsibility and highlights the object with a rectangle. The image can be enlarged and displayed on a separate monitor. At the same time, the shooting of the rest of the area (outside the rectangle) continues.

Unlike rotary PTZ devices, the video camera does not rotate following a moving object (person, car, animal). Accordingly, the area intended for observation does not "leave" her field of vision. All movements are marked using the software part of the system, so then the operator is able to easily distinguish them. Modern 4K video devices are capable of replacing several analogues with a short viewing range or very limited field of view. Its higher cost pays off where 3-4 pieces of equipment are usually required – they can now be replaced with one device.
