Traffic police monitoring centers are being set up in the capital instead of traffic police posts.
According to the Department of Transport in Moscow, data center control rooms will be set up instead of some traffic police posts. To date, work is already underway on the technical equipment of the premises that previously served as traffic police posts. A total of 18 such centers are planned to be opened, and the completion of technical work is scheduled for October 1 this year.
The main tasks of these centers will be monitoring and analyzing the traffic situation using tracking devices (video surveillance).
It is worth noting that at those posts where there is a need to carry out the activities of the traffic police, weight control and Moscow parking, standard procedures will be carried out in the same order as before the modernization. There will also be the possibility of holding special events ("Bus" and "Illegal").
