Sign language recognition devices will appear in the MFC

Multifunctional centers will be equipped with special equipment capable of recognizing sign language. This was announced by a representative of the Moscow Department of Information Technology. The devices will work as follows:

• A dedicated camera captures the actions of the next customer.;

• The program analyzes the gestures, comparing them with the available database.;

• A text translation is displayed on the screen in front of the MFC employee.

The innovation will help optimize the work of the Center, and will effectively work with citizens who have speech problems. Previously, difficulties in contacting certain categories of people have been repeatedly noted. The new equipment will be initially tested in the Interior Design Center of the Russian capital. Further, the issue of its large-scale implementation will be considered.
