Video surveillance devices in Moscow will become smarter starting from August 1.

Starting from August 1, traffic monitoring devices in the capital will be reconfigured to a new mode of operation, thereby now they will establish the fact of leaving the restrictive lane of the intersection at a red traffic light.

The administrative penalty for motorists who violate this rule will be 1,000 rubles.

Moreover, the entire procedure for making a decision on an administrative penalty and paying a fine will remain the same.

At the first stage of the implementation of such technology, special equipment will be installed at three intersections.
