Video surveillance development in 2015
Over the past 10 years, video surveillance technologies have made a dramatic leap forward, both in terms of video quality and video transmission technology.
What awaits video surveillance systems in 2015?
Priority areas for the development of tracking systems:
- Improve the quality of video cards - the next generation of 4K resolution, known as Ultra HD. In the future, this resolution will make it possible to determine what is happening on the territory in front of the camera with accuracy down to a passing fly, but the problem still remains optimizing such a video signal for transmission over communication lines
- Cloud video surveillance, known as VSaaS (video surveillance as a service) is becoming more well-known and an increasing number of customers are choosing this particular method of organizing data storage and camera management
- Video analytics - these technologies have two advantages: instant response to an event, reducing the amount of stored video data by converting it into information containing only logical data
- Video compression to reduce network load is becoming more important literally every day, as the customer will always need the clearest possible video and its transmission speed, and modern network technologies are not yet able to take on such loads.
