The problem of storing data from surveillance cameras is becoming global
In recent years, the speed of development and distribution of video surveillance systems has been breaking new records.
This is due to the cost of the video cameras themselves and the expansion of the scope of application.
According to statistics for 2013 alone (data needs to be collected, analyzed and processed, hence the delay in calculations), 147,028 Petabytes of video data were recorded in the world. And already in 2014, by 201,496 Petabytes. The difference is huge, especially considering that 1 Petabyte is equal to 1024 terabytes.
At the same time, according to analysts, the spread of video surveillance systems in the world will continue, since many technologies are at the initial level - 4K resolution, panoramic cameras and solid-state video library storage systems.
