Panasonic has released a PTZ camera with 40x magnification

Panasonic has developed and launched a new outdoor PTZ-WV-S6131 video camera. One of its key features is the presence of a 40x magnification (zoom), which allows you to examine even relatively small objects in detail. Due to this, the device is suitable for protecting a large area and will successfully replace several cheaper, but also less effective devices.
The device provides image transmission in a resolution of 1920x1080. The focal length of the lens ranges from 4.25 to 170 millimeters, allowing for fine-tuning.
The camera is equipped with an intelligent image correction option. It is convenient when shooting moving objects, in conditions of difficult visibility. H.265/H.264/JPEG codecs are supported. The first one provides a reduction in network load compared to the older version (95%).
Also, the developers from Panasonic have not forgotten about data protection. The encryption system of the FIPS 140-2 standard is used. This option works not only when transferring data, but also when writing to a memory card.
Even if the technology is not widely used, it will be well received by the owners of facilities with a special level of access.
