The FIFA World Cup was held in Russia from June 14 to July 15. The competitions were held at 12 stadiums in 11 cities. Russia hosted this event for the first time, so a significant part of the preparatory work was carried out from scratch, including the construction of roads and stadiums.

Such a side of the issue as ensuring the safety of participants and numerous fans who came from other countries and cities of the Russian Federation was not ignored. Outdoor and indoor video surveillance cameras provided considerable assistance in this.

• The face recognition function allows you to identify people who are wanted;
• Thanks to video recording, it is possible to capture moments that require further investigation and resolve many controversial issues;
• Watching videos from a lot of cameras in real time is necessary for making certain decisions in a timely manner. These include sending security personnel to the scene, activating the alarm, calling the police, ambulance, etc.;
• The presence of video surveillance of the territory in itself can reduce the number of undesirable cases.

The advantage of modern technology is that it can be quickly dismantled and used, if necessary, at a new facility. Tracking devices at airports, train stations and stadiums were widely used even before the start of the World Cup.
