New product from MicroDigital: MDA-HDTRX-01 signal converter.

The converter is used to convert HD-SDI signals to Ex-SDI and vice versa. The Ex-SDI video signal format provides continuous interference-resistant HD-SDI image transmission with conversion over a distance of up to 500 m.

The converter can be used as a component of the communication link between the camera and the recorder with different types of signals (HD-SDI and Ex-SDI). In this case, the distance between these devices can be up to 600 m.

If the converter is used between Ex-SDI type devices, the transmission range will be up to 1000 m. The HD-SDI format switches the digitized video signal without compression over a coaxial cable. The lack of compression on the image completely eliminates artifacts that usually remain after codecs are converted. Given that data transmission does not depend on the load of the IP network, there are no image delays typical of network cameras. The transmission distance without signal repeaters can be up to 120 m, depending on the cable.
