Optimal access control system for medium-sized businesses

The segment of electronic means of territory control and its protection against penetration is constantly developing. Not only more reliable, simple or effective solutions are born, but also affordable with relatively low costs. Today we can observe the development of an access control system as a service (Access Control-as-a-Service - ACaaS).

ACaaS - a model in which only part of the equipment is installed at the facility. The equipment responsible for analyzing the situation and storing databases (the “brain” of the system) is located with the company that provides the service. Her client simply pays a monthly rental without spending significant amounts on the purchase and maintenance of electronics.

As a result of accelerated development, the global market for access control as a service in 2022 will approach in terms of sales volume to the level of $ 1 billion - this is the forecast given by IHS Markit specialists. It gained the greatest popularity among small and medium-sized businesses, who do not want (without the ability) to spend money where they can save money.

Analysts believe that large companies and people who do not trust remote services will continue to mainly use the traditional “turnkey” purchase scheme for all equipment. They base their opinions on statistics on the use of cloud storage and data processing services. The latter are most popular with representatives of medium and small businesses.

In Russia, the corresponding market is still poorly developed and there is still room for pioneers in the industry to appear on the market.
