Moscow surveillance cameras will learn to recognize faces
According to the metropolitan authorities, the experiment on the introduction of a special video analysis program, which will make it possible to recognize the faces of people caught in the lens of surveillance cameras, is coming to an end and high results of the application of this technology have been obtained.
The implementation of the above-mentioned program is planned by about the beginning of 2016.
The principle of operation is quite simple - based on the uploaded photo, the system itself will determine in which places and at what time the person who owns the photo appeared within the surveillance radius of the video cameras.This system is designed to help both in the capture of criminals and in the search for missing people.
Also, by the end of this year, it is necessary to determine the compliance of such a video surveillance system with Russian laws.
