Personal video recorders for police officers in Moscow
The Moscow police is planning to test special video cameras in the near future, called "personal cameras" due to their size and the ability to record what is happening in front of an employee.
At the first stage, only a limited number of traffic police officers on duty at the intersection of Karetny Ryad Street and Sadovoye Koltso will receive such devices. The further fate of the introduction of such equipment in law enforcement agencies, as well as other services, namely: non-departmental security, convoy security, depends on the results of testing.Miniature video surveillance cameras will be attached to the breast pockets of the uniform. The device's operating mode will correspond to the duty officer's work schedule (continuously, 8 hours per day).
