Hikvision has released the Lens Calculator tool

The manufacturer of all major components for video surveillance systems has released the Lens Calculator program. It is intended for persons involved in the design of schemes to protect objects from unauthorized entry. The software allows you to calculate the parameters of the equipment that meets the required conditions.

Among the functions of the "Lens Calculator":

· Calculation of vertical/horizontal viewing angles at a given focal length. Helps to identify possible blind spots in advance and take action.;

· Detection of the focal length at a given viewing angle. An option that is largely "mirrored" from the one described above;

· Determination of pixel density per meter under various conditions.

The program is useful for accurate calculations that precede the direct purchase of equipment. Designing a system suitable for a particular facility becomes an easier task, and the likelihood of errors decreases.
