"Safe City" - the effectiveness of video surveillance implementation
The results of a study of the functionality of the Safe City tracking system, which is gradually being distributed in many regions of Russia, have been published.
For example, in Chelyabinsk, where 18 monitoring points were installed (about 327 tracking devices were installed).
In the first six months of 2015, according to the data collected, the number of accidents decreased by 63 percent, while the number of offenses recorded by the equipment amounted to 270,000 (almost 35% more than in the previous year). The principle of operation of the system is quite simple - monitoring points record an offense, collect information about it and send the necessary data to processing centers, where specialists study them and make a decision.If the evidence base is recognized as complete and reliable, the electronic signature of the employee who made this or that decision on the responsibility of the violator is put.
